Candidates who wish to become a IBM Certified Solution Designer must pass the 000-996 IBM WebSphere MQ V6.0, Solution Design exam, or the 000-700 DB2 UDB V8.1 Family Fundamentals and 000-705 Business Intelligence Solutions V8.1 exams, or the 000-299 IBM WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker V5, Solution Design and 000-294 IBM WebSphere MQ V5.3 System Administration or 000-296 IBM WebSphere MQ V5.3 Solution Design exams. In preparation for this exam candidates are advised to also do the IBM training course. (Please note that the training course is a recommendation.)
